Chapter Benefits Exclusive use of the Break Away® Name and Logo
The Break Away name and logo are registered service marks. Since these marks represent a commitment to quality alternative break programs, including thorough pre-trip preparation and effective post-trip activities, only groups affiliating with Break Away and its philosophies have permission to use the name and logo.
Access to the Break Away SiteBank and Trip Report Database
Break Away works with hundreds of schools and community groups worldwide. More than 450 nonprofit organizations list group volunteer opportunities in our SiteBank. This comprehensive database gives agency profiles, site fees, sample work projects, housing options, and more. Chapter Schools also share feedback on these "Host Sites" through the Trip Report database.
Sample Materials and Ongoing Consultation
Start or strengthen your program with a host of sample documents, including application forms, press releases, timelines, checklists and evaluation tools. In addition, Program Directors may be consulted about issues that challenge your alternative break program.
Access to the National Email Listserv
Periodic emails that contain important dates, upcoming trainings, helpful hints, and other useful information keep your program up-to-date with the latest in alternative break program design.
